Chris McNiff

Born in New York City, Chris grew up just an hour away in Westport, CT. In high school, he was a member of the award winning theatre group, Staples Players. He received a BFA in Music Theatre from Elon University. Since then, Chris has performed on multiple national tours, including 4 years on the National Tour of Irving Berlin's White Christmas, regional theaters, and in NYC. He is also a choreographer and teacher, and has taught at multiple regional theaters, in NYC, as well as in Shanghai, China. During the pandemic, Chris was able to pivot more towards video editing, working for his friend Eric Mann for his NY-based film production company, Unreel Films. He currently lives in NYC where he is pursuing all of these avenues. Please reach out with any inquiries...thanks!

Chris is currently choreographing URINETOWN for the high school students at Applause NY on the Upper East Side. The production will feature 2 casts, and they will perform in December in midtown at the 52nd Street Project. Tickets will be available HERE beginning November 16th. It's A Privilege To Pee!

Chris just completed a 2-week Broadway Choreography Intensive with DANCE LAB NY, founded by Broadway choreographer Josh Prince. This program is designed to give aspiring Musical Theatre choreographers unparalleled access to training from Broadway professionals, and the safety to explore and be critiqued in a non-product oriented environment.

Check out Chris's latest choreography video! Inspired by Michael Bublé's version of "When You're Smiling". The video features Kristyn Pope, Corinne Munsch, and Sarah Fagan. It was choreographed, filmed, and edited by Chris.
